Our Junior Shabbot School program is tailor-made for children ages 5-7. This program is an interactive learning of the vital teachings of Scripture through narrative, crafts, drama, cooking and creative design. The crafts and activities are not intended for entertainment value, but rather to inculcate upon the child's heart the principles and character of God shown in the lesson.

Congregation Beth Messiah values children tremendously. Using the Word of God as the textbook, weekly lessons are presented in a context best suited to a child's level of understanding. Special effort is made to approach the text not only at an age appropriate level, but also to accommodate the special needs of each individual child.

All Shabbot School teachers honor and uphold the Messiah as the one true Rabbi (teacher).

The Shabbot School program aspires to focus attention on the following two questions:

Who are we?

and

How shall we then live?

As a community and fellowship in the name of Messiah Yeshua, children are instructed in the knowledge of the nature of God, and what it means to have a relationship with him. Children are taught to understand the Jewish roots of their faith, the truth of Adonai's redeeming love, and his act of salvation for all people.

Our Shabbot School program includes exciting opportunities for children to develop and display their talents for the adult congregation, while illustrating the lessons that they have learned throughout the year. Our program includes a puppet show for Purim, as well as special presentations on other holidays.
