The Hebrew Prophet Haggai, prophesying concerning the building of the Second Temple, implies that Messiah would come to the Second Temple:

“This is what the LORD of Hosts says: ‘In a little while I will once more shake the heavens and the earth, the sea and the dry land. I will shake all nations, and the desired of all nations will come, and I will fill this house (i.e. the Second Temple) with glory,’ says the LORD of Hosts. ‘The silver is mine and the gold is mine,’ declares the LORD of Hosts. The glory of this present house (i.e. the Second Temple) WILL BE GREATER than the glory of the former house (i.e. the First Temple),’ says the LORD of Hosts. ‘And in this place (i.e. the Second Temple) I will grant SHALOM-PEACE,’ declares the LORD of Hosts.” Haggai 2:6-9

The One who came to the Second Temple to bring the Jewish People back to Adonai their God (Isaiah 49:5), to be a light for the Gentiles (Isaiah 49:6), and to extend God’s salvation to the ends of the earth, was Yeshua (Jesus) the Messiah. Yeshua says to those in spiritual captivity, “Come out,” and to those in spiritual darkness, “Be free!” (Isaiah 49:9)

B’rit Chadasha, the New Covenant, introduces the Messiah, Israel’s King, with these words:

“A record of the genealogy of Yeshua (Jesus) the Messiah, the son of David, the son of Abraham.” Matthew 1:1

The record states that Messiah died for our sins according to Tenach (the Hebrew Bible), that he was buried, and that he was resurrected on the third day. Rabbi Sh’ule (Paul), who believed on Yeshua as Israel’s Messiah and Savior, wrote:

“Remember Yeshua, the Messiah, raised from the dead, descended from David. This is my Good News!” 2 Timothy 2:8

In the final chapter of B’rit Chadasha, The New Covenant, Messiah Yeshua states:

“I am the Root and the Offspring of David and the bright Morning Star.” (Revelation 22:16)

A great invitation follows,

“Whoever wishes, let him take the free gift of the water of Life.” (Revelation 22:17)

Receive Yeshua, the Messiah, and let him be your King. Let him rule in your heart and you will have forgiveness of sin and inherit eternal life!
